Privacy Policy

This policy explains what Riverside Residents Directory receives, how that limited data is handled, and what choices are available. The reference has no account system and does not store a resident record about a visitor.

Information You Enter

A name, phone number, or address entered into a search box is sent to the third-party provider that supplies the results. Riverside Residents Directory does not keep a copy of that search on its own servers. A message sent through a contact route contains the details you choose to include, and those details are used to respond.

Routine Technical Logs

The hosting service may record an IP address, browser type, requested pages, and timestamps. These logs are reviewed in aggregate to keep the Riverside reference available and to understand which record pages receive use. Basic cookies or similar tools may support analytics or advertising measurement when those services are present.

How the Data Is Used

Technical data supports hosting, fault repair, traffic measurement, and page improvement. The operators do not sell a visitor list or create an individual profile from ordinary use.

External Records Resources

Riverside pages link to county and state portals, libraries, archives, courts, and sponsored search tools. Once a visitor follows an outside link, that provider’s privacy notice and terms control what is submitted there. The same applies to the sponsored results box, which is supplied by another company.

Who Receives Limited Data

Hosting and technical service providers may process server logs to keep the pages running. Analytics or advertising partners may receive the automatic information described above. Disclosure may also occur when valid legal process requires it. Otherwise, the operators do not sell or share a visitor list.

Security and Retention

The pages use an encrypted connection, and logs are retained only for the operational purposes described above. Because there are no visitor accounts, Riverside Residents Directory does not hold a site password or user profile for someone to expose.

Visitors Under 18

The reference is intended for adults and is not directed to children. The operators do not knowingly collect personal information from a person under 18. If a minor’s details were sent to the contact mailbox, ask for their removal through the Contact page.

California Privacy Choices

California’s Consumer Privacy Act, Civil Code §§1798.100 and following, can provide rights to know, delete subject to exceptions, correct, opt out of sale or sharing, limit certain sensitive-information uses, and avoid discrimination for covered data. Riverside Residents Directory keeps little direct visitor data, so a request normally concerns the contact mailbox or short-lived server logs. Use the Contact page to ask what can be located.

Those rights do not erase a deed, court file, parcel record, voter file, or vital record held by a government custodian. Requests about a Riverside public record must go to the office that maintains it. California’s Public Records Act, Government Code Division 10, governs access to existing public records and does not turn this private reference into the custodian.

Policy Changes

A revised policy will be posted here with its new wording. Continued use after a revision indicates acceptance of the updated terms.
